The G H O S T P H R A S E 3.0 upgrade!


The 3.0 upgrade contains an improved hashing algorithm, and improved cloaking of the encrypted message. These two new features are present in all SILVER and GOLD editions sold now, and in the STEEL editions. In addition, a low-priced edition called just '3.0' is offered. It has a constant internal key, just like the free 2.5 version, but the 3.0 also has the edit window, time lock options, and usage privileges of the SILVER and GOLD editions. The free version 2.5 is not upgraded, but still free to download anonymously. All GHOSTPHRASE editions are currently for Windows 98/2000/XP.

Each buyer of the 3.0 will get an email with User password and download link, which can be shared to the buyer's contacts for five days. As with all GHOSTPHRASE editions, there is no copy protection of the exe files, so you can share freely with your contacts. Each new purchaser of the 3.0 will get a different User password, but the internal key is unchanged, so that everybody with the 3.0 can communicate. You are responsible for creating and distributing the Link and Message keys.

In summary, the 3.0 is a budget version with some of the high-end features. For ultimate email confidentiality, there is no substitute for the GHOSTPHRASE GOLDs, as they are not exposed to the internet during creation or distribution, and have unique internal keys.
