MORE ON THE NEW TIME LOCK
I want to describe in greater detail
how the new time locks work for SILVER
and GOLD editons of GHOSTPHRASE.
In the free version, there is the built-in
expiration of encrypted files after two days.
After this time, you cannot decrypt the message,
even with all the correct passwords.
It can be hacked, if you re-set the computer clock,
of course. But it serves as a basic protection
anyway, and even if the clock is re-set you still
need the correct passwords to decrypt.

In the buy versions (SILVER, GOLD) there are now
multiple time-dependent options. The default is
the same as for the free version. You can also choose
at encryption to not have the encrypted message expire.
You can also choose a specific date at which decryption
should happen. With this option, at no other date
(month and day) can the message be decrypted, even with
the correct passwords! This is significantly tougher to break.
You may also leave the month unselected, and only specify a day.
In this case the message can be read that day every month.
Or specify a month, but no day. Here, the message can be read
that whole month. 

There used to be markers in the file name for these
different expiration modes, but they have now been removed.
It is thus not possible to guess which type of expiration
policy has been assigned. You must of course arrange this 
with your contacts beforehand.
